Since your main product is your act, a demo reel is the most important weapon in your marketing arsenal. Most of the time, your demo reel is the only chance a potential booker can see what you offer prior to booking you. This is the tool that will be the difference in getting the gig or losing it to someone else.
Often times the demo that gets shown to potential clients is nothing more than a condensed version of the act.
There is no thought put into actually closing a sale, and even worse, the same demo that is shown to corporate buyers is the same demo that is shown to private party buyers.
